NinePathways is a series of ritual cycles developed by Catherine & Scott Pennington exploring the ways in which the divine male and female manifest in our lives, and how we canconsciously work with these energies to heal ourselves, support each other, strengthen our partnerships, and manifest our dreams.

Developed initially as The NineSisters Ritual Group, we have since expanded to include The NineBrothers Ritual Group and will eventually add The NinePartners Ritual Group. NinePathways is open to both men and women of any level of magical/spiritual experience, sexual orientation, religious belief, or cultural calling.

Each training cycle runs 18 months, with some time off to deal with scheduling conflicts and the realities of life. We meet once a month to do ritual, share our experiences and deepen our awareness of The NineSisters / The NineBrothers and ourselves. We also honor the completion of each set of Sister/Brother and the transitions between the phases with a working specific to each training group.

For those who are interested in going further with this work after the 1st training cycle, there is a 2nd training group which aims to deepen our awareness of a particular Sister/Brother and eventually there will be work with the phases of Partnership.

In the descriptions about The NineSisters and The NineBrothers we describe the cycle in terms of the Archetypal divine female: the Maiden, Mother and Crone and the Archetypal divine male: the Sower, Provider and Sage. These are titles that represent experiences and mythic stories that we can each relate to.

The NinePathways is set of training that use these archetypes as a way for each of us (male or female) who go through the cycle to see how that pattern works for each of us. We can each find the phases of these divine forms in all our lives and experiences. This is a way of looking, experiencing and explaining how we live our lives as well as how we go through change in our lives. Not only is this about the overall life of a female or male it is also about how we experience a project, a relationship and many other things. We know that there are many different points of view for each experience and each archetype. There may be some women who experience their existence more in terms of the cycles of the NineBrothers and men who experience life more through the movement of the NineSisters, but in the end we all go through the process the of either or both with a connection to the divine and we honor the patterns that they reveal to us.
