The Ritual Groups

The NineSisters

The NineSisters Ritual Group was formed in 2001 to explore the aspects and phases of a 9-fold view of the Goddess. By working with each of the Sisters in depth through a year and a half long cycle of rituals and personal work we are able to broaden our knowledge of our own life's work and the way the Goddess manifests in our life and the world around us. By focusing on archetype of the divine feminine we (men and women) learn how her phases of Maiden, Mother and Crone mirror the experiences of a woman's life and all life. Yet within each phase, there are aspects of the Three. For example: the Maiden represents a young woman who has come into her first blood and is setting out into the world all things are new and exciting to her. Yet there comes a time when she yearns for something more, something beyond the separateness of her Maidenhood. She grows into Mother. Within The NineSisters these shifts of need and growth are represented by the Maiden, Mother and Crone aspects of Maiden: MaidenMaiden, MotherMaiden and CroneMaiden. As the divine female grows from Maiden into Mother and then into Crone, we learn about the other six Sisters: the three aspects of the Mother: MaidenMother, MotherMother, CroneMother and the three aspects of the Crone: MaidenCrone, MotherCrone and CroneCrone. Within the ritual cycle we also honor the transition points between the main phases of Maiden, Mother and Crone.

The NineBrothers

The NineBrothers Ritual Group is designed to explore the aspects and phases of a 9-fold view of the divine masculine.   By working with each of the Brothers in depth through a year and a half long cycle of rituals and personal work we are able to broaden our knowledge of our own life's work and the way the God manifests in our life and the world around us. The NineBrothers Ritual Group is in the process of being formed, and is expected to begin its first cycle in the spring of 2007.   By focusing on the archetype of the divine masculine we (women and men) experience how his phases of Sower, Provider, Sage mirror the experiences of a man's life and all life. Here again we see that within each phase there are aspects of the Three. For example: the Sower represents the young man who has just passes from boyhood into the first days of manhood. He is driven by the needs of nature to procreate at all costs. As the need to sow his oats settles, another need grows, the need to tend to what he has created, to nurture and protect what he loves. The Sower grows into the Provider. Within The NineBrothers these shifts of need and growth are represented by the Sower, Provider, Sage aspects of Sower: SowerSower, ProviderSower, SageSower. As the divine male grows from Sower to Provider and then into Sage, we learn about the other six Brothers: the three aspects of Provider: SowerProvider, ProviderProvider, SageProvider and the three aspects of the Sage: SowerSage, ProviderSage, SageSage. Within the ritual cycle we also honor the transition points between the main phases of Sower, Provider and Sage.

The NinePartners

The NinePartners Ritual Group will focus on the divine partners - individuals who choose to come together in intimate and close knit working relationship - predominately love/emotion based, though other forms of partnership are explored as well. This group will explore the growth cycle of Partnerships as a form of divine energy all their own. The NinePartners are composed of individuals - sometimes the same sex, sometimes the opposite sex; sometimes the individuals are in compatible places in their lives, sometimes they are not. To fully understand the dynamics of the NinePartners we will need grounding in both the NineSisters and the NineBrothers. This work is currently in development.
